Abigial's left cheek is sporting an interesting impression today...no it's not Gigi's lipstick and it's not from Sydney (although I wouldn't blame her sometimes). The bite-until-you-get-your-way tactic was utilized on Abigail by a friend's child in the nursery this morning! Not a big deal to us, because we know that this is how kids are - but we hope that this won't be used between our girls anytime soon. Apparently, the boy was attempting to take the jack-in-the-box toy (that Abigail loves so much) away from her, but she stood her ground. The bite phased her only for a few seconds, and she kept the toy for the remainder of the church service!
Other excitement in our household this weekend - Sydney tinkled for the first time in the new training potty (which was more than likely a reflex) and Abigail can roll her tongue! You go girls!

Way to go! Learning to stand one's ground is an important skill to learn! I am sorry that she got hurt!
Have fun potty training... it's not nearly as bad as a lot of people make it out to be!
Any news from the Equadorean side fo the family these days? The bumps and bruises of life in your children are what molds and shapes us as parents. You guys will get to double your pleasure on that index!
Oh gosh, I pray that it wasn't my child! If it was, I'll apologize on his behalf :)
Poor thing...I'll let Baylor beat up the kid if you want:) I hope I make it through my second child with no biting--it remains to be seen. Way to go Sydney!! Welcome to the long road of potty training--train mom well:)
You're little ones are learning early about that pesky male gender. Glad she held her ground and continues to do so in life!!! Rootie
Oh, mylanta! I probably would have hunted down the kid and bit him myself! Way to go for not being an over protective psycho-parent!
hola from Ecuador - we are having the time of our lives visitng Miranda. It was great fun for us to finally get to a computer and see all the new additions to the blog! The bite does look a litle nasty - but kids are resilient. We love you all and we'll talk to you soon once we return to American soil.
I meant to say that "kids are resilient and they bounce back quickly froom these types of setbacks!" Love you all.
I wonder if grandparents who wander around in the jungles in Equador will bounce back as quickly?
